The Syrian Social Nationalist Movement---1932--1949: A political essay
by Salameh, Joseph Iskandar, M.A., THE UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO, 1950, 115 pages; EP25576

Abstract:

In this essay I have tried to explain the nature and role of the Syrian Social Nationalist Movement and to give a coherent account of the background and rise of Syrian Nationalism. The deficiencies from which my treatment suffers are many, but I hope that the fact that this constitutes the first attempt at a systematic discussion of this phase of modern political life in Syria will account for and justify some of these deficiencies.
