by Hartunian, Vaughn, Ph.D., CAPELLA UNIVERSITY, 2011, 204 pages; 3487095

Abstract:

This qualitative single-case study was conducted to examine factors influencing strategic enrollment management program effectiveness at a four-year public state university. Data collection was obtained through interviews and institutional documents. The data produced evidence of internal and external factors affecting the effectiveness of strategic enrollment management programs, as well as the role of president and senior leadership in a successful enrollment management process. The study concluded that leadership, participation and communication, strategic planning, and data analysis and monitoring influenced the effectiveness of strategic enrollment management. The study also offers higher learning institutions to better understand the processes for a successful strategic enrollment management and improve their chances of achieving the goals and objectives identified in a strategic enrollment management process.
