Globalization's impact on Catholic religious leaders in the Claretian missionary religious congregation
by Suttle, Richard, Ph.D., OUR LADY OF THE LAKE UNIVERSITY, 2009, 185 pages; 3388546

Abstract:

In this dissertation, the primary focus of the research study conducted is to analyze the predictive leadership behaviors of both lay and religious leaders in international congregations within the Catholic Church. This research validates the leadership traits and behaviors of religious congregations that enhance the impact of globalization on their organizational and structural success. Participants were anonymously surveyed as members and associates of a Catholic international congregation. Data were collected using the GLOBE Leader Attributes and Behavior Questionnaire Form Beta established by Robert House et al. (2004) and GLOBE researchers based on Hofstede's culture dimensions (1980). The GLOBE study findings were used to compare cultural leadership behaviors of members and associates in a Catholic international religious congregation. Statistical analysis was conducted and the results and conclusions were published in the submission of the dissertation. This study serves to contribute to the body of knowledge in leader traits and cultural differences among leaders.
