Are teachers always right? A study of the accuracy of teacher recognition of students' multiple intelligences

Abstract:

Teachers make instructional decisions based on their students' learning needs; this study seeks to determine the accuracy of teachers' recognition of their students' strengths and weaknesses, based on Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences. It was found that teachers are less than 50% accurate when asked to recognize students' two strongest and two weakest intelligences.
