The Best Strategies to Lead Organizational Change during the Pre-Merger Phase
by Funk, Marra M., M.B.A., THE COLLEGE OF ST. SCHOLASTICA, 2011, 33 pages; 1500274

Abstract:

Mergers and acquisitions do not have a positive success rate in the United States. In order to help future organizations to complete a merger or acquisition successfully, it is important to understand the reasons for mergers and acquisitions, why the majority fail, and provide effective strategies for them to be more successful. It is critical to understand that strategic management, organizational development, global leadership/ethics, marketing, and information technology all play a vital role in the pre-merger process. The recommendations in this paper are to provide effective strategies to lead organizational change during the pre-merger and acquisitions phase.
