Mobile Security for Large Businesses
by Abraham, Kathryn A., M.A., THE COLLEGE OF ST. SCHOLASTICA, 2011, 47 pages; 1493575

Abstract:

Mobile security is a large topic that has a plethora of opportunities to be customized to the needs of the organization that is utilizing mobile technology and procedures. To understand the topic of mobile security there needs to be a base understanding of the history of mobile technology and the benefits that it can bring to businesses and then why security is a critical component to the implementation of mobile technology into a business. Once an understanding of mobile technology is established, then an implementation process can be reviewed and instituted into an organization. A breakdown of an implementation process shows the different parts of the process that need to be reviewed and analyzed so that the security is well established throughout the company. With this implementation there is a thorough review of the current policies and procedures as well as the limitations and possible expansion opportunities that new security software and hardware can provide to a business.
