The purpose of this grant proposal project is to fund a new chapter of an existing youth development program called Reality Changers in order to provide academic support, financial assistance, and personal development for at-risk youth in Oxnard, CA. These youth will be the first in their family to attend and graduate from a 4-year college.

As a result of reviewing numerous articles, which examined key elements that negatively impact the likelihood of school success as well as the key components that increase the likelihood of obtaining a 4-year college degree, the grant writer sought funding for the implementation of Reality Changers in Oxnard, CA. After researching numerous public and private potential funding sources, the Stuart Foundation was identified as the best match as their primary goals were harmonious with the mission of Reality Changers.

Actual submission and/or funding of the grant were not required for the successful completion of this project.
