Abstract:

The increasing influence of the Internet will inevitably lead to a globalized educational community and possibly a globalized educational system as people who live in one country obtain diplomas or degrees from the educational institutions of another country. As more and more people participate in this global educational "free market" and obtain what are often foreign qualifications, the national governments, educational institutions and licensing authorities will be under increasing pressure to recognize these qualifications especially as the numbers of people engaging in these efforts continues to grow into the millions.
