by Brittell, Pamela, M.A., THE COLLEGE OF ST. SCHOLASTICA, 2011, 46 pages; 1491228

Abstract:

This is a marketing plan for the Hill Crest Inn Bed & Breakfast, which will be located in Stillwater, Minnesota. The plan will detail its marketing strategies, which will be utilized to implement the success of the business. This plan will guide the marketing decisions and assist the owners in allocating marketing resources and their personal time. Marketing research is done to determine the best place to start a business and how to reach the most people. A business should begin with a vision and/or mission statement that is consistent with the planned overall strategy.

Advertising to target specific groups and reaching potential customers will be discussed in the marketing strategies section of the paper. The discussion will cover how to make ones services known to the public through advertising to specific target groups. Advertising educates the prospective buyers about the products and services that are offered.

The Hill Crest Inn Bed & Breakfast will do a SWOT analysis of its strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities along with a financial plan. By knowing ones strengths and weaknesses the bed and breakfast can utilize them to their advantage, giving them an edge over the competition.
