Abstract:

This narrative explores the author's encounter with a profound event. The author analyzes the challenges she faced as a pregnant teenager and explores her journey in the search for social support. The literature review is composed of relevant literature that pertains to the risk factors of teen pregnancy, potential outcomes for those directly involved, as well as factors predicting these outcomes. The author's process of constructing this narrative as well as implications for social work practice is discussed.
