Body composition of NCAA Division II football players (n = 68) was assessed utilizing hydrostatic weighing and skinfold measurements. The present data were compared to data reported by Noel et al. (2003) on percent body fat in NCAA Division I football players. Percent body fat was greater in NCAA Division II compared to NCAA Division I football players. A significant difference (P ≤ 0.05) occurred between NCAA Division I and NCAA Division II defensive backs utilizing hydrostatic weighing. Repeated measures analysis of variance demonstrated percent body fat varied significantly across playing positions among Division II players, with defensive backs and offensive backs/receivers being the leanest and offensive lineman being the most fat. Six regression equations were utilized to determine percent body fat from skinfold measurements. A repeated measures analysis of variance revealed that the regression equation developed by Forsyth and Sinning (1973) produced significantly different measurements.
