Abstract:

This study is a policy analysis of the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB), which is intended to address the factors that affect the education of poor and minority students, English language learners and students with disabilities within the public school system.

The researcher utilized primary and secondary data to review changes in society that lead up to the implementation of the Act. Components of David Gil's framework were used to present the policy analysis.

After reviewing the literature and analyzing the policy, the researcher determined that although NCLB brought to light the need to make changes within the public school system, it is not without limitations.
