The effect of employing grouping strategies on second grade students

Abstract:

The purpose of this inquiry is to gain an understanding of how employing grouping strategies increase the level of participation, engagement and motivation on second grade students. Data collection consisted of informal observations and a survey of 12 males and 11 female students. Formal observations were done on students who were below grade level. The data was coded, grouped and categorized; I then used the emerging themes to highlight my findings. The findings revealed that employing grouping strategies increase the level of participation, engagement, and motivation of second grade students. The implications and recommendations for further research about this study are discussed in chapter five.
