Abstract:

This document is a written record of the ideas and process involved in the execution of the scenic design for Noises Off, which opened at Southern Illinois University Carbondale on February 22, 2006. This document contains a chapter on the analysis and research specific to this production. The process chapter chronicles the development of the scenic design and its implementation. A final chapter deals with evaluation and response to this production. Appendices illustrating the design process are also included, these demonstrate pictorial research, models, drafting and paint elevations as well as production photographs.
